We had Lenovo laptops in my last field of work, they weren't the greatest but they had potential

I'd pick up an external optical drive at Wal-Mart for $20. "Real" laptops are phasing out optical drives as everything can be done digitally now but manufacturers obviously aren't taking truckers data limits into account here.

I could explain why I needed an apple laptop. But instead I'll just show you these.

Also, toshiba is utter junk. As is acer. And the vast majority of bad components and worse software based cheap junk. You do get what you pay for with computers.

Toshiba stands well above the rest in being awful. The laptop I had before the current one was a $2k extremely nice machine on paper. Except battery life was about 2hr. And it was possible to cook eggs on it after five minutes of use. And it started glitching after a few months. And then when it died less than six months after purchase, toshiba took another six months to fix it and I had to pay for postage. And I also had to spend hours on the phone every few days trying to get them to actually do anything with it. after being fixed it lasted a year and then died again.

I had bought my first Toshiba from best buy a few years ago, and 2 days later it crashed. I took it back to Best Buy and swapped it out for a HP. I no longer do business with Toshiba or Best Buy

Here ya go. $13 on amazon. Or you could splurge and spend $30 and get a blu ray one...

ZSTBT USB 2.0 External Portable CD-RW DVD ROM Combo Burner Drive for Laptop Notebook PC Desktop Computer(White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1I94II/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_1KZLybKAEZJTX

As an added bonus, when you're not watching something, you get a lighter and smaller laptop to carry around. Yippee

The last bastion of DVD and CD sales are Walmarts, flea markets, and truckstops. The tech is simply dying.
