Hello, what should I bring with me when I start orientation with a new company? I am brand-new to trucking and this would be my first job with trucking and not sure what to bring with me when I am with my mentor .

Talk to that new company and most important talk to the trainer. Generally you want a week's worth of clothes, work boots/shoes, gloves, toiletries, sleeping bag/pillow, phone & charger, sunglasses & pens. Pack it all in a soft duffle bag or back pack, you may be sleeping with it. You are moving into an already occupied & working truck. You will put more stuff in your own truck but bring less, not more into the trainer's truck.

Pack as light as posible. Last trainer I went out with all I really brought was cloths and vape suplies. Plus my hoodie and carhart. If you go to a decent company there get ya home with your rig once they assign it to you to give you a few days off and move in.

And light as possible means no laptop, refrigerator, and gaming console with TV (yes, seen that once at Swift)
Your best bet is see if you can call the trainer before hand, or have the trainer call you and you two talk so you know what to expect.

I packed a little heavier for my month with a swift trainer. But not to much. That's how I learned to pack even lighter. I had my duffle. That was it.

This my list when you come on with the Rowdy bunch after Swift school but it really applies to anyone who goes out with their mentor.

Rowdy's check list of 10 things you'll need to take to swift school.
    1) condoms
    2) viagra I don't need it cause I'm nasty but you will when you see the quality of babes at swift school
    2) lube
    3) dildos
    4) nose plugs
    4) extra dildo batteries
    5) porn magazines cause the wifi sucks
    6) something to disguise your phone with so you can use it on the range
    7) hoodies for sleeping in class
    8) monostat. Your thinking I'm a guy I don't get yeast infections. Trust me bring monostat
    9) valtrex to start regiment while on mentors truck
    10) synthetic urine
