This thread was brought to by the author of the “Schneider is mean” thread, need I say more?
And FYI Schneider doesn’t allow for any cell phone use while driving so it really would be impossible for a DBL to distract someone while driving.
How Schneider screw new driver to enslave them

Of course, we are all responsible for our own actions.
However, I totally agree with the OP that Schneider, as well as all, and I do mean all, other mega OTR companies are absolutely screwing their drivers in regards to low, low pay along with long hours and lousy working conditions.
This "put in your year" and "pay yer' dues" mentality is exactly what is allowing these companies to get away with driver exploitation and to build those company profits to maximum levels while the drivers that are the lifeline of the company struggle just to pay their bills.Last edited: Mar 9, 2017
Midnightrider909 and MiRig2017 Thank this. -
Big trucking companies fax references to each other, you are not going to like itjeff18 Thanks this.

Blame the drivers for everything, typical of Schneider, I wish someone had a post like this when I started
Now I am giving my reference about Schneider. -
i disagree, the problem is people that wont grow a pair & say, enough, and stand firm. many of us have done this. when i did, my miles dropped, imagine that! stood firm, learning their policies & dot rules & regs. another problem is these cheap o/o that cut alot of throats. and most importantly,DO NOT QUIT TIL YOU HAVE ANOTHER LINED UP. its always good to be applying when they start the crapMidwestResident, Midnightrider909 and x1Heavy Thank this.

I agree with you and understand what you are writing here. They can set you up for fail. Some companies claim you to death for the smallest minor things and hold it against you on your DAC report.

You joined the forum in Aug 2015, yet I've never seen you over in the Schneider section. Never asked for help, advice, or just ##### about the crappy day.
If you had reached out to other drivers you might have avoided some pitfalls. Simply reading DFOs first year at Schneider should be required reading. He did some smart stuff, some stupid stuff, some stuff that's funny in hindsight but sucked in the moment.
If you read your company manual and/or listened in training you would know that Safety First and Always isn't just a catch phrase. If you ran unsafe or illegal that comes back on you. I was "told" to run illegal once. That office worker was not a Schneider employee 24 hours later. Plenty of guys would have your back, but it's hard to support a spineless person.
The thing I like the most about trucking is the amount of control over how successful or not I am. There's plenty to ##### about at Schneider, but you haven't mentioned any off them. -
Knew Schneider was a trap. I'll keep my 1K+ a week here at CR England.
Bro_Dave Thanks this. -
CR England is the road to riches, or maybe join the gold rush at CRST? So many lucrative options to choose from.loose_leafs Thanks this.
