go for it age is never a barrier unless you make it one.

 

The only issue I see with insurance is your lack of experience driving from. What I have heard you CAN get insured with less than 2 years but up until then the rates can be rough

You drove a grain truck to get yourself through college, didn't ya John? Wink, wink. There's no way they could dispute that.

 

The only issue with age is what you make of it. Insurance will be high and not really worth it if the truck is going to be parked most of the time.

 

I would rather see a 61 year old on the road than a 23 year old. I know that some people will not like that statement, but I remember being 23 years old and have been around 23 year olds, and they just are not many that are responsible or aware at that age. It is a proven fact that the older generation make the best employees due to determination, integrity, work ethics and wanting to do a good job.

 

If you know how to drive? Just go take the test. Make sure insurance covers you and they will allow trailer size at test site.

The hardest part will be your backing skills.
