I think you overcomplicate things.
Just pass the exam and then you will figure it out on the road.
My instructor told me to to take more lessons because I won't pass the exam but I did pass it at first try.

Sounds like you need an instructor that's compatible with how you learn.
I had a couple different instructors but there were 2 I really clicked with so I made a point of trying to schedule my lessons with those 2 as much as possible.Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
Short? No such thing, we are vertically challenged. You paid for that first session so don't pay anymore money until you get those first maneuvers down. Don't compare yourself to other students, we all learn differently, and some of those that do it effortlessly will fail their test.
You paid for that school and to learn. Put your #### kickers on, get in the truck and set up your seat and mirrors for you and don't worry about anyone else. That is your truck time. It's not easy, but you have come this far so keep at it.
The best feeling after all that hard work is the license in your paws. You got this.SHOJim Thanks this. -
I am 5'5", so not the tallest, get in, adjust everything the way you need it, not the way anyone else does and just go for it. I was the PFJ one day, driver got out and must have been 5' at best, she filled up, and drove off. I figure if she can do it, no reason I can't.

That school ripped you off big time.Don't you dare pay them for a longer course.A company sponsored school in your case is the best option.Of course u know you'll have to sign a yr contract. But what's a yr if being a trk driver is your goal.

You know, if you're behind, you can always recycle into a newer class... you don't have to graduate with the class that you enrolled with. It's not like failing the third grade - there is no shame in taking the time that you need, to learn what you need to know to be safe out there.Weeezerd Thanks this.

Yeah didn't mean to repost that but I don't know how to delete it.

A mod will get it, I'm sure
And this, too...

Yeah I had planned to take a bit longer. I told em I understand I didn't know shifting. But they ####ed me. Either way.

I've never taken a driving course or trucker school. But I have been a coach/instructor for many years in a sport. That said. There are no bad students, just lacking instructors. Good luck you can do it.
