What food distribution companies/warehouses are the worst?

This is so consistent from one DC to the next it almost has to be a policy written in the handbook lol

New Albany, Ms is particularly bad for this. Seems like the more of us there are sitting and waiting the longer they make us wait while they chat and drink their coffee and discuss whatever the latest gossip or family drama is.

Let's don't forget being there standing 10th in line at check in 30 minutes before your appt and they #### well see you there but if it's 1 minute past your appt when they finally decide to get around to you and everyone else in line then they stamp your bills as late for your appt.

 

I don't have problems with Wal Mart. In fact I actually like them more than any DC out here. You know exactly what to expect from one DC to another. You have a 2 hour window on your appt time. Always show up 1 hour early and everything goes smoothly. Always a flat $50 lumper fee. Almost always out of there in about 2 hours.

 

The most filthy grocery warehouse I've delivered to is A&P in Edison,NJ
Is that grimy, filthy place even still open?
The restroom is so nasty even the union employees that work there go outside and pee on the ground.

 

The Walmart DC in Tomah Wi. Is not even close to that.

WI is a pretty good freight market so you generally make decent to very good money coming out.

 

Nestle usually takes five hours to load or unload my trailer. Show up late and you might be there until the following day. Best is Blue Bell Ice Cream, everytime they have me loaded, bills in hand and rolling out the gate in an hour.
