It's always a hair raiser when I'm running the 75 speed limit in my Silverado and end up having some super-trucker bearing down on at me warp speed. At that point, I try to increase speed and put some distance between me and work-a-holic. Then of course there was this other time last year where I was riding a Suzuki DR650 back from Ft Sumner on the 65 mph, US84 and had a Wally World bearing down on me.
Slowed it down in Melrose and the guy just blew right through town!! -
My trainer frowns upon me going the speed limit. You got to go 3-4 over.
I slow down behind a slower truck to allow cars and other trucks to pass before I jump out knowing I'm governed at 66 and it will take me longer to pass. He asks Why are we doing 60 in a 65? You have to work on your time management.
When I get in small towns I ride up to 5 under speed limit just to be safe. Why are we going so slow?
If a car or truck comes over in front of me I back off slightly to build following distance. Why are you backing off? We should be hammer down!
It is really frustrating me but I will endure it until I get my own truck then I can run how I want to run and not be the douche holding up left lane doing 66 passing a 65 for 5 miles. Also, just ride with the traffic in the work zone, no one does the limit is my favorite.spyder7723 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
