    Probably a "Dumb" Question... But...
Why put the Straps in the Middle of the beam ?
Every Extendable Trailer I've had anything to do with has quite a pronounced Sag in them when stretched out like that.

Are the Straps holding the trailer Beam up ?
Or is It just one of the few that don't Sag/Bow when Stretched out?

An Enquiring Mind needs to know.....o_O

    Oxbow and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I found out after the purchase that those Manac trailers are pretty stout - there's no sag in it. (Neither should there be at 17,000 lbs empty).

The strap in the middle was simply my half hearted attempt at reducing the "one securement every 10 feet' gap that exists in the middle. I had meant to throw another 4" on there, but didn't.

9 - 4" straps and 2 chains on a 30k lb piece made me happy enough it wasn't going anywhere.

It says "for" every 10 feet. Not "within every 10 feet". Not trying to be a ########/knowitall. And not saying you did anything wrong either. Just pointing it out.

    Sell the red truck yet?

    Oxbow and Ruthless Thank this.

Ive finally made it through the whole ###### thread!

If anyone hasn't figured this out yet, Blair is a pretty good guy. I bent his ear Tues night on the phone when those crane sections were on his trailer. I want the red truck bad, but I dunno if Im gonna be able to swing it after some other stupid expenses.

    As for that new Peterbilt....

I see a problem here, time you walk to the back to check the trailer tires then walk far enough away to get the whole truck in the picture it would be time for a nap.
