How much drop and hook do you all do?

 

In reality... 50/50

 

I have done 2 live loads thus far, the rest has been drop/hook so far. My next load is a drop/hook pick but live unload. Maybe they're spoiling me.

 

Sounds like it's going well so far. How's the 680 compared to the Pete?

 

310k miles and it's twice the truck. The sleeper isn't as big in length (Magnum's trucks are 80"), but this being a full condo with 2 normal size bunks means I have more storage than I have stuff. The dash is a little different and no smartwheel (cruise and stereo stuff on the steering wheel)...and no in dash touch screen for me to break...but if I had my choice to buy as an O/O...680 hands down favorite.

The only real dislike I have has to do with the 9 speed box. The gear ratio's are set for flat land...hit a hill and do a faceplant. I pulled 45k across I68 and I79 today...my fuel mileage was 6.1 for this trip.

Did that yesterday to the Jeffersonville yard then back to Chesapeake,Va today

 

I took a load of aqua from a fairly new warehouse in Alburtis PA to the London KY wally...now I am picking up in Frankfort KY headed for Madison MS. GPS says that I have turned just over 2950 since 1700 Tuesday, and it's another 600 to my delivery...3500 actual in 7.5 days, including 2 trips around DC...it's been a good week, even with the little issues with the truck.

 

I came out tuesday and have 3200. 8 hrs left on 70 until Wednesday. After tomorrow probably have to take reset.

 

I have been sitting at home since Thursday with a contagious viral upper respiratory infection. Thank God for my retirement income. Hoping to go back to work on Tuesday or Wednesday for sure.
