Hey guys, anyone here break England's 9 month contract after completing their school? I left them after a month and a half because of the horrible and abusive trainers I had. So it was just a very bad experience for me. I'm wondering tho if anything will happen in terms of the contract. Can their financial company, Eagle Atlantic do anything? Or is it all just bs fear mongering? They Say I owe the school 5,000 (the cost of the tuition) but I don't feel like paying for it. What is the worse they can they do?

As with any other outstanding loan, it would be turned over to a collection agency and it would ding your credit score. And as far as "I don't feel like paying it back" goes, that shows irresponsibility and immaturity on your end. Yes, C.R. England sucks. But they did provide you a means to obtain your CDL and you breached the contract. You owe the money, plain and simple. Just don't fall for any B.S. about them taking away your CDL, as they are not the BMV and are not authorized to do that.

So you signed a contract and expect to just walk? I am not a CR England fan, but most likely they will turn it over to collections, it will be on your credit report as a negative for 10 years, but after a few years won't be such a hit on your FICO Score. Worse case scenario, they take you to court, get a judgement, garnish your wages or go after any assets you have to satisfy the judgement. The later will depend on who they sell the debt to.
Let's face it, if it was the trainer, you could have asked for a new one, you just were not happy there.pattyj Thanks this. -

Yeah I most definitely was not happy there. But it looks like my current company will pay the tuition so I'll just pay it off. Lesson learned.

They'll pay it only if you don't up and quit.I'm pretty sure they require you to stay there a yr.UsualSuspect and mpm Thank this.

Good plan, just stick it out and let them pay, do your time with them, keep your MVR clean and you should be good. Nothing in life is free, the mega's make it sound like it, we will give you your CDL, you just have to drive for a year, sounds good, but if you are unhappy a year is like a life sentence. Glad you found a better place.
