My uncle was telling me they used to park at a church up the road. But that's up to the deacons. Theres also a shell station/truck stop they used to park at. It doesn't have alot of customers mostly people getting gas. They have drivers parked there all night and they allow truckers to park. My uncle said he used to leave his personal truck there as well. The other truck stop is a ta about a quarter mile from that shell but it stays busy 24 7. Ill probably just park at the shell or talk to the church

Maybe you should park the truck and become the only Uber car in your area. Just thinking.WildTiger1990, akfisher, ncmickey and 2 others Thank this.

My town wont allow ride share services and the taxi here sucks if you call and say you need a car to meet you at a specific place in 3 hours you'll get there and wait at least a half hour or more
-
I would check with nearby businesses, explain you need a place to park, offer to pay for the space. There is someone around with an unused spot, just make sure you get it in writing, hate to come back and read how they towed it and said they had no idea who you are.

A word about Uber/Lyft. This comes up a lot and i am sure if the service is available, it is fine.
However, they aren't available everywhere. If you are away from a larger city, it will be cost prohibitive to use the service, because you will have to pay for the great distance the car has to go to come get you, if they will come at all.
It's not like there are Uber driver's behind every tree just waiting on your request. -
Uber doesn't charge for the miles to get to you. They charge you for the miles from where they pick you up to where they drop you off.
-
So uber would send a car 140 miles away to move a person 3 miles?
-
If they did you would only get charged for the 3 miles.

Give the manager a C note, drop the trailer, and bob tail home.
str8t10 Thanks this. -
There is a small lot in Marion that lots of drivers use. They also leave there personal vehicles there. I work with the chief of police for that town. He said he doesn't care because no one complains about them. If it comes down to you needing to use that area I can put you in contact with him. He's a good guy.
