I've heard Texas is the only state that forbids you to have a gps on the very bottom left of your windshield. Is this a new law that went into effect? I normally see drivers put their gps on the bottom center which I'm pretty sure it's a violation in any state to have anything placed where your wiper blades move. Drivers who put their gps on the bottom left...what has been your experience in Texas? I've been there many times but never had an issue. I haven't been there in awhile but might be going back soon.
Texas law no gps on bottom left corner??

Technically, you're not allowed to have anything affixed to your windshield.
It's one of those things that if a D.O.T. officer wants to find something to nail you on, they could use that.Dharok, Studebaker Hawk, wore out and 1 other person Thank this. -

That's why I moved mine up in my trucks. Found it was better to keep eyes sorta heads up display.
88 Alpha Thanks this. -
I personally always thought the bottom left was the best spot overall but that's just me.
-
Let me amend that. You are not allowed to have anything affixed to the windshield that is in the path of the wipers.
-
Most prob won't hassle you about it. But get an attitude with a DOT officer for simply doing his job, then he may be determined to find something.
-
That's exactly what I've always heard but the very bottom left corner isnt in the path of your wipers.
-
That's pretty much what I figured. That goes anywhere with any dot officer but just wondering if it's a new law and something more strict now days
