Sometimes I think people forget about operating authority. It don't matter who what when or where. IF you are operating a CMV ALL the drivers MUST be in a testing pool. A school can NOT operate a truck without operating authority.

so ok, you pass the next drug test at another school

will you still smoke dope?

i think so as you seem to really like smoking.

are you aware that IN SCHOOL, YOU ARE SUBJECT to random screenings?

what will you do when a pre-employment drug screen is given to you? you know some employers make you go for one RIGHT NOW!

what will you do when you get hired and you get a random drug screening?

once you pop a positive, you very well may not be hired by reputable carriers.

are you as sure as can be, that you want to be a truck driver?

i frankly do not see you giving up your ways of smoking, i really don't.

 

well like a few others said, something must have happened in order for you to pop a positive again.

i am not sure in all my years, that i ever heard teeth to be a problem with smoking, other than smoking can dull the teeth.

This is friendly advice, be honest with yourself, 6 months since use and you failed a urine? Unless you were dropping acid, went on a starvation diet, and had a flashback, it was shorter than 6 months, and even MJ in a heavy user is only detectable 100 days later if you were a heavy toking pothead. If you want in this industry you need to be honest with yourself, and perspective employers. There are randoms that will happen, you need to stay clean. No one wants to see anyone driving 40,000-80,000 pounds down the road while they are high, or under the influence of anything, especially when peoples lives are at stake.

what is your weight if you mind me asking? I am having a similar situation as yours. I am 6 foot 2 inches and 300+ pounds. I used to smoke for years then finally quit about 3 years ago because I was starting anew in another country. About 6 months ago I decided to get my CDL/Class A license. I went ahead with my course did the driving test and passed the first go. Now I go ahead to apply for employment and the employer tells me to go straight for a Piss test after the interview (pre-employment). I go without hesitation because it didn't even cross my mind that I would fail it. Well, I found out a week later I did. tested positive for THC. YEARS WITHOUT TOUCHING THE STUFF AND I GET A POSITIVE.

Fortunately, my potential employer said that I can do the SAP and once finished and I piss clean then I am good to go. I have finished my SAP and now just have to do my clean piss test but I am scared for it to show positive.

I have been researching like mad to see if there is something more that I can do. And along with asking the OP his weight, would also love any other advice.

If your going to make unhelpful comments like "Oh just what we need another pothead behind the wheel" or " stay off drugs" or "sounds like you couldn't help yourself and still used anyway and don't belong on the road" then please just move along. your not helping and are just being a real ###. Situations like ours are real. We have learned our lesson.
