After unloading, head to Blue Beacon for washout. They have a deodorizer that works well. If I remember, it's like $5 extra, but it works.

Oysters don't stink. They are packed in burlap bags on pallets.
Leave your unit running until you can get a washout and it'll be fine.KB3MMX, x1Heavy and LandslideRich Thank this. -
You pull done before?
-
Not true. I know someone doing pretty well for himself
-
I know several. They say there's no money in it, but runs a fleet of shiny W900's, replaced as the warranty expires.
-
That's what they all say. It's no money in it it's not worth it. Either they don't know what they are talking bout and assuming or they just don't want others get in on the action like it really will take away from them

Before we got rid of our refers and vans we hauled a lot of seafood. We quit hauling it because it was too seasonal and unpredictable. The rates were alright, not huge, but decent.
If the seafood is frozen and in sealed containers you should be alright as far as odor.
But if it's fresh fish in bulk, frozen or layered on ice in bins, you'll probably need a deodorizer . We used coffee if we washed out ourselves or whatever goop the commercial washout used if we went that route.
If it's fresh fish be sure to get a rider on your cargo insurance. A load of fresh halibut or Dungeness crab on ice is worth more than you could imagine.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
We all have different variables. What might be well for your man might not be good for me.

Lol. There's dozens of shiny large cars doing LTL's out of the northeast, especially PA. Just because they have shiny trucks, doesn't mean the pay is GREAT. There's nice trucks hauling cheap stuff too. Stop being delusional.
-
Don't take it personal. MOST seafood freight doesn't pay like it used to a decade or more ago. But you and your compadres can have it all. Hell, you want me to give you some "connects?"
