Well, we get it serviced and checked over in the spring. But if it breaks, being a team, we shut down and get it fixed. We've got no choice. No sleep= no driving.
Solo guys might be able to hotel it up, depending on how hot it is. But I don't know too many companies that would pay for that. And the o/o would have to look hard at his bottom line, perhaps trying to get it home to "his" shop. Ya?Lepton1 Thanks this. -
It's always sunny somewhere

Sure is.. one of the FEW months, in Alaska...and it's only 63 degrees atm....

For heaven's sake, don't you have meat shops where you can get some decent steaks to take home and throw on the grill?
More like all the young drivers that are afraid of the dark!

YOU SWEAT!
Then you get to the shop and get it fixdicated!

I'll keep the 379 Pete, you keep the money flowing to the tools, fuel, food and fluids etc as far as the feedom of dispatch give me three choices where possible and provided nothing goes bad you might hear from me sometime next week. There is always that qualcomm to keep everyone posted. IF we are successful with a very large percentage of income put away and unemployment activated for winter rest you should be in a pretty good position come spring which for us begins just a month or so prior to end of chain season. (1March...) More than likley those McKesson medical loads will prove to be a very strong freight base out of Memphis and certain other cities around the USA as our Population base gets sicker and more disabled to require those medicines. I say we have about 30 years max until robots kick in Even if you only set aside 20,000 a year over 30 years
That 20K compounded once each year at 5% interest will stand at 1,470.000 minus or plus a couple dollars. If someone reading this goes beet red, then splattered purple to stroke and drop, I suggest a different form of living which will be more relaxing and fulfilling.
I won't be doing the 30 year saving thing. I am going to enjoy some of that and some will go around to others =) And back on the road we gocome spring.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Yes, we do.. Millie's meats is only open whilst I sleep.....and closed weekends.
I don't want to have to COOK it.....)
The wife's a great cook...she just does 'mid rare' everytime I bring home a good steak, no joke. I don't want a walking (breathing?) cow... I want a steak, LoL. I'm being brash... sorry~! I just LIKE my meat cooked, and tender. Nowhere around here to get it that way eating out. -
