That is not too far into the future.

If for some reason we have 50 gallon tanks instead of 340 or whatever and carry that much more freight in weight, it may pay to have small tanks fueled in motion as state lines or certain geographical locations are reached. One fuel truck in the middle can fuel 4 at the corners relatively quickly, remember that a trailer there might be a operator boom cab back there.

I myself would hate it, those little 50 gallon tanks can and will be consumed doing battle with some of the more serious upgrades around the USA. 20 to 30 gallons an hour and two hours to the top at walking pace or slower on a simple 3 mile pull for example. All gone.

My philosophy goes the other way. If you can accept a third axle on a trailer, one of which is a 8 foot spread towards the center put a 500 gallon fuel tank between them and route to tractor you now have 1300 to 1400 gallons aboard which gives you continential range anywhere in North America with one designated fuel spot which carries the best pricing to the owner of such a rig. Extra axles are not just for cargo weight you know. The left over capacity of the axles from the 3 tons or so extra tanks would go towards combating scale issues when things get a little heavy from time to time over gross etc. I'll have to sit down and figure it out with a weight chart but that is my solution.

I don't know you or any one from adam and eve etc. So see if you can see a little humor in the following thought.

Have you considered that among deaf people sign language does not work in the dark? I'll leave it to others to consider the possibilities when it is too dark to communicate.

Oh I have been. Had one in Big Springs a few months ago. I finished fueling was there a good 15 minutes had tried the truck doors a couple times. This buffalo of a woman much wider than she was tall comes shuffling out with bags containing approximately half the store. Now I don't get angry often or easily but I was sure to let that beast know what I really thought and what a useless waste of space she was. I'll neither confirm nor deny the truck was in bad condition and said Chicago, IL. All I can say is I am thankful for paper logs however much longer they last.

My doctor gives me certain medicines for muscle work and the name Bordentown makes those medicines no longer work, what I really want is a baseball bat and chain. But my little piping up means nothing in today's wonderful world of poltically correctness and never anything bad in this world.

Staffing used to be reduced to nothing. The old 76 up in Stony Ridge which would be west side of 22 across from TA and where the parking lot used to be like the lunar crater land of the moon that eats trucks at one time... Used to be a cook, one waitress who does everything else and a fuel desk person who does everything else. Some days freight piles up in the yard, food needs cooking and people get to waiting.

I gotta tell you all the days Ive had a meal there after a little wait the people were good about it. Everyone knew one waitress was no where enough and most from what I saw and remember the boys and girls were good to her and backed it up with tips. But you can tell that 4 hours in she wants OUT. She is done. So it gets a little harder to go up to someone and ask you vant cawfee?

Say WHAT? WHAT did you say?:p
On a serious note here, I finally gave in after twenty years or so of not being able to hear my wife, and a lot of other stuff. Not only do they help me hear, they are actually comfortable. So much, that I forget I've got the hearing aids in.

Doesn't that #### just piss you off? It does me.
