It doesn't have anything to do with Netflix. Sorry for the implication. I have an iPhone 6 with Verizon and have the unlimited data plan. I have an iPad Pro as well. I downloaded the Netflix app and the Fox News app. Having the iPad Pro I'm able to use it for the device connected to the tv, which leaves my phone freed up to carry around. The lightning adapter plugs in where the charger normally does. Then an HDMI cord goes from the lightning adapter to the HDMI port on the tv. Charger plugs into the lightning adapter as well to maintain iPad battery. I set the iPad on my cabinet top, click the Fox App and hit "watch live". Or I click the Netflix App and find a movie or tv series to watch. Once you do this, everything on the iPad (or iPhone) screen is mirrored to the tv. It's just a way to watch movies or tv on a 22 inch flatscreen mounted on the wall instead of being forced to watch it on a phone screen or iPad. $12 a month for Netflix, $30 increase in phone bill going to unlimited. Well worth it in my opinion.

Another thing I forgot to mention, with Bluetooth linked up between my iPad and the factory Peterbilt stereo, the sound comes thru the truck speakers instead of the tv.

It's the same way in my Freightliner. Nice feature. I have Direct TV at home so I have on my phone as well. Nice to not have to have the dish mounted on the truck and the extra cables, etc...

I agree. I think those satellite dishes are on their way out. There's not much of a demand for them these days.

I first heard about this on roaddog radio, so what do you eat out here on the road? I've successfully cut out soda (coke) but I still sneak in an iced coffee or a limonade to eat my unhealthy meal with...

I'd be great if you shared some tips, thanks

Thank you for the compliment. For a 3,000 mile week it's about $1,000 take home after taxes and the $86 insurance premium I pay.

    JLT Thanks this.

You can idle however much you want. The engines in our Petes have what they call an idle rewards program. If you have the shop clear the idle history and from that point forward don't idle above a certain percentage they'll run 71mph. If you idle some but not a lot you'll end up in the medium threshold and run 69mph. If you idle all the time they'll run 66mph. This time of year I run 66 because I idle all the time. When Fall comes around I'll have the shop clear it out with the computer and start shutting it off at night and run 71 again. It's your choice.
