And now the waiting begins. Dealership has my application in the system. They asked me for a $1000 check to keep the truck tied up so no one else could buy it out from under me. I know that 6nz powered trucks don't set around for long so I scratched a check for the agreed upon down payment in full. Figured that couldn't do anything but help my cause and in reality it was painless enough, they won't cash the check unless the financing goes through. My stomach is pretty well knotted up right now, but I'm sure I have a solid plan in place so I'll just try and relax for now and wait. Hope to know something today...tomorrow latest.

Make sure the AC works. I bought my truck in November and overlooked that. Next thing I know, it's May and I need $1900 to stay comfortable.
Lepton1, Airborne, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't know how much your looking to spend but I know where there is an 03 379 in excellent shape with a year old thermo king apu if your interested. It's not on a lot though. The driver has just parked it and is retiring. He had a cat overhaul on it but I don't know the mileage.

Always looking for good equipment. Send me a PM with the contact info. -
I'll get the info and get back with u. I'm not at home right now. Im on vaca for 2 weeks atm.
Oxbow and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
Well, I guess it's going to be tomorrow before I get an answer. Since Valium is out of the question, I may have to review my non-drinking position and hit a bottle of Jack to steady my nerves...
Nah, I'd likely wake up in some God forsaken location with a girl so ugly she'd scare a dog off a gut wagon. Guess I'll just tough it out.
More later... -

I've been driving past a really nice looking W900 with a for-sale sign on it for the last few weeks as we've been moving stuff to the new house. Stopped to look at it yesterday. It's a 2007, a little over 1M miles, really clean, big sleeper, 18spd, and the poop sheet on the window said it was good except for needing a new clutch linkage. Guy is asking $52k. I can stop next time and grab the phone # if it's anything you're interested in. There's a Wilson grain trailer for sale with it too. Didn't pay close attention to the details on it.
Airborne, Oxbow, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Absolutely interested in the truck...no use for a grain trailer.

Make sure that you CYA on this.
some things to consider in the contract.
Subject to inspection and approval.
Ask for the ECM full down load.
should be about 11 pages.
Ask for any and all cat history on the engine.
If it has been remaned, get paper work, recepits or any other documents related to that. If no documents, then it did not happen. If the truck had any work performed at a dealership, they will have records of service, maintenance or anything else.
be willing to pay for a third party to do a full inspection.
Not that MHC is out to scam you, but unless you ask, then they will Overlook things. average charge should be less than $1500.00 to do the job right.
things it should include are a blow by test, charge cooler test, Oil and coolant labs, not just dip strips. Full function tests of all systems.
Some things I would want as a sales deal on a used truck.
Full tanks of fuel at delivery
New batteries.
Full three axle alignment.
Fluids chainged on all axles and transmission.
A new air drier installed.
Ask for the universe, decide what you will accept and what you will give on. Then stick to it.
