"Ummmm, boss....someone stole my back trailer. It was there when I left the yard, but it's gone now"

1st of all, I think someone needs a random...even if you didn't happen to be looking in that mirror when it departed, you would a)notice your truck pulling better b) hear this hissing noise from your brake knobs because it disconnected c) people were probably honking and trying to flag the driver down...and it's Gary...they darn sure weren't just saying "hi" and being friendly...plus a full trailer load of Amazon, sitting still in the middle of the day, in the middle of the road, and it wasn't emptied by the locals trying to get a jump on their Christmas shopping...I call B.S.

Oh ####, I wanna get on with a concert tour company! Looks like they're hiring!

    (Nevermind, just a Cabela's truck)

Probably the pintle hook let go and he lost both the trailer and the dolly. Turnpike is odd like that, you see a lot of triples so if you saw an abandoned trailer (tractor oos) and a matching set of doubles up the road, you might not make the connection.

I guess his air pump was powerful enough to compensate for the open line, you're basically running at 3x idle speed, I had a bad airbag fail in Texas (Houston?) I made it all the way to Oklahoma before I lost enough air for the brakes to start dragging. And that was with an old International. So it's possible he could get to the toll booth before he got a low air alarm.
