Well, I'm starting my last full day at home until around Thanksgiving. Going to rum up through Iowa to see the girlfriend for a couple of days, guess I'm going to have to get my fill there as well because I may not see her again until after Christmas. Tough choice there, money or..., well you know.
Seeing some encouraging news that has me thinking that fuel may not jump up quite as high as I was worried it would, so @cnsper is looking for a load out of Montana heading in the general direction of Baltimore around the first of next week. There's some chance that I may stay out West for a time running loads there, that's more or less up to him.
So, it's about to begin. We've talked and planned for months, now it's time to begin. Y'all stay tuned, I really believe this is about to get fun.Airborne, 1951 ford, Panhandle flash and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well, it'll either get fun, or it'll get.......yeah.
Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
Be careful with that rum thru Iowa. They have bootlegging laws. Lol
Lepton1, 1951 ford and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
It's a temporary issue. Nothing more. This industry is in a constant flux of up and down spikes, you need to learn not to get worried over them or you be living in a constant state of extreme stress.Highway Sailor, Oxbow, Airborne and 2 others Thank this.

I'm trying to figure out if that was a typo or some sort of Freudian Slip.
I remember how fuel went bug crap nuts after Katrina for months. Hearing the Colonial was shut down got my attention further. Don't get me wrong, I still think fuel's about to become a real profit drag, I just don't think it's going to be as drawn out as it was after Katrina. To much big money and political power in SE Texas, and that's just how that works.Airborne and Panhandle flash Thank this. -
After seeing the price on that KW, that Pete I know of is a steal.

I don't remember reading this, are you buying a truck from cnsper or you driving his truck?
