    Nither, don't do it, it's a trap.

They skip too much, or they overfill something so they can charge you for filling it. There are places that know what they are doing but not enough to warrant taking a truck there.

You know there is a problem when you see the mechanic taking out the fuel island trash... (Loves)

I tried a Petro ONE time and haven't gone to a big chain since. I spec'd a semisynthetic blend and an oil sample, gave them a bottle for it. After a bit checked on it and saw the "mechanic" was filling it with oil. Went to make sure it was the right oil and sure enough it wasn't. They drained it again and then filled it with the blend. Asked for my oil sample and the guy just had a blank look. Said "I'll be right back". Came back with my sample bottle but the numbers I later got from the analysis (Horizon) we so screwed up it was obvious he just grabbed some oil from the collection drum. Anyways....never again.

Several years ago, Speedco was reasonable priced. Was about 30% above what I could do it myself which was acceptable. Since they were purchased by BF Goodrich, the price went to about 80% above what I could do it. That was the end of Speedco for me!!! I now look for WELL established shops when needing oil changes on the road. Best so far has been the West T Go truck stop (AMBEST) in Tye, Texas. Oil change, Lube, Fuel filters, Gear box's checked, NEW wiper blades, and a meal voucher discount for restaurant...less than $200.00

well, despite our better hopes and dreams, we all can't be in Texas.......jus' sayin'.
But Speedco is a lot like McDonalds to me.......I'd rather not, but I'd more rather not be hungry
