Why do you flash me when I'm 2 feet in front of you?

Up here in Canada it's common to give a quick flash of the brights to signal when another rig is clear. I've yet to see anyone turn them off or interrupt the headlights. Some guys don't do anything to signal, these are almost always "new" canadians.
Once in a while a guy will give a "your clear driver" on the CB, but the high beam flash is widely used around here, most drivers tend to wait until you have your turn signal on to flash. I don't see anything wrong with it. Ain't like you just got "welders flash" and your blinded.

Its still Not Cool with the Brights- We Never did that before- Always interrupted the Headlights to allow the pass-

I Don't like the Brights for 2 reasons

    1. Its Laziness on your part
    2. When I see Brights-First thing that I grew accustomed to over the years was "Watch out" or "Stop,Theres something wrong with your truck"

Brights are Not a Feel of Comfort when you communicate with your fellow trucker-

Only Time Brights are Good is Oncoming letting us know theres a Bear ahead.

My truck doesn't have an interrupt for the headlights. It does however have a neat little button next to the park light interrupt for flashing high beams. Labelled as such.

I don't do it because I think it's cool, that's why I picked up smoking. It works for me, seems to work for the drivers i pass and ones that give me the courtesy blink.

    I guess I'm old school.
I wait for the truck that passed to put on his turn signal to get back into the right lane before I
signal. But then again a lot of these steering wheel holders don't know anything about turn signals.
I don't see anything wrong with using brights for a quick flash during daylight, a no no at night.

The stupidity of truck makers to put automatic headlights and headlight interrupter switched shows how dumbed down a lot of drivers are today.
How hard is it to turn on a switch when you need your lights??

All of this stuff beats the idiot driving a $10k truck with $1000 headlights that im almost certain aren't DOT compliant.

Unless you're driving across the freaking outback dodging kangaroos and #### I don't understand why you need 16 headlights that are all PURE WHITE.

New cars/trucks aren't much better. Toyotas stupid new automatic brights feature is about to burn my freaking corneas out

I just begun to notice the intense, OEM white-brights on my Chevy. Those things are far brighter than the incandescent's on the Peterbilt daycab and at low setting even!!
