I wana buy a truck and i like dry loads and flatbeds but reefers also make good money and long runs.
Which one would be good for having less issues and getting more loads and good money?
Reefer or van or flatbed

I would think flatbed, Especially over dimensional loads?
Express123 Thanks this. -
Post on the owner-operator thread and probably get better advice.
Lonesome, Express123, d o g and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've done all 3. I hated reefer because you haul time sensitive produce a lot and you spend boo-coo hrs at a produce shed waiting for the product "to cool" before loading, or, have multiple picks up and down central Ca. Then you have to babysit the load and hope your unit doesn't malfunction along the way.
Dry van is good and you haul anything/everything. FB I liked, Generally no problems making deliveries. -
I pull reefer, but I'm a company driver. I would think a lot of your decision would depend on where you live, or where you plan to run. That said, If *I* were going to buy my truck and trailer, I would likely do reefer just because I would *think* the rates are better than dry. But again, I've never owned a truck so take what I think with a grain of salt.
I know I would NOT do flatbed. Forget rates, I hated flatbed, especially those tarps. If I never see another tarp in my life, it'll be too soon. lol -

Mine and your responses are a perfect example of why you have to learn to take information but, ultimately, you have make your own decisions based on your own likes and dislikes.
