OP never said anything about having a CDL.
Could still be a student, and still learning to "str8-back" and not even know that Semi's have two tanks that can be filled AT THE SAME TIME FROM EITHER SIDE OF THE FUEL ISLAND....lmao

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

I did. Spent a whole week on it.

Easy. When one log book runs out shred it and get another one. That's why you see ripped up pages all over the truck stops.
Very nice.nax Thanks this. -
CDL school where you spend 3 weeks getting 30 minutes of backing practice and 1 hour of driving practice, plus a sunburn or frostbite while watching others get their 30 minutes/1 hour of practice.ZVar Thanks this.

I must have got lucky in my school choice. 2 hour lessons, 1 on 1 with the instructor the whole time.

Mine was 5 weeks.

A trucker was featured on FOX News very recently. It is natural the general public may google trucking and find our forum then come to ask questions from real truckers. Receive them with open arms. Be nice and courteous. Try not to go for your aggressive trucker instinct.
gentleroger Thanks this. -
Probably depends on where you go. There's seven students (two are class B) in my class, and that's probably about average (there's only twelve seats!)

I find it highly ironic that when an ELD fails a driver will have to fill out a logbook. How far into the ELD future before a driver will have no clue on how to do that??? LOL, not too far I'm thinking.BoostedTeg, 12 ga and scottied67 Thank this.

After a couple years of ELD full market penetration, DOT officers won't know how to read a paper log either.BoostedTeg, Dave_in_AZ and 12 ga Thank this.
