The whole fight was nothing more than a big money grab publicity stunt. Outcome was a given.

I don't see how you can do both. If boxing is your passion, and trucking is secondary, than I would say....like Rocky Balboa once said..."Go For It".
You have to consider the sacrifice's and consequences that you'll be putting yourself through if you try to do both. If you want to be a legit contender, you're gonna have to put 100% into boxing, and doing both trucking and boxing won't allow you to do that.
Have you considered what would happen if you got KTFO, or broke a hand, rib, jaw, or damaged your eye in a fight. That's means you can't drive. The amount of head trauma that boxers go through, being hit repeatedly to the head, is something no other sport has. It's comparable to NFL players getting concussions. Have you seen what Riddick Bowe or Meldrick Taylor look nowadays? Or even Big Daddy Gary Goodridge on the MMA side. It's not pretty. Fighters have a short window of opportunity to achieve their goal and usually don't go above 40 years old. But if you did decide to do both, I would say look for a Temp job that would allow you the flexibility to work part time, or maybe put your CDL on hold until you decide to pursue trucking as a career. Full-time, I don't see that happening because your most likely gonna be putting in anywhere from 10-14 hours a day. There's not too many Full-time trucking jobs out there that would allow you to work on your schedule. And even then, who knows if a company would take the risk of you being injured in a fight or when training, that would cause you to be out for a lengthy period. -

I'm a owner operator and been training and sparring for 18 yrs . I run under my own Authority so I have a flexible schedule. As a company driver it's almost impossible. I carry my jump rope , gloves and wraps and I'm always calling gyms in towns I decide to stop in . Every major city has a boxing gym and mma gyms will let you get some work as well . Good luck.

Great feedback. What does it take to become an owner operator? -

Balls and a good size bank roll . Oh yeah you don't have a CDL yet so scrap the O/O question.
