Well in that case they can penalize the carrier. Think about what you're saying. It's a company installed camera that is de facto evidence. Video is admissible in court. The judge would slap the cop for issuing a ticket.

ECM records are also admissible in court..it would have shown that the seat belt is fastened. He could have initiated a CER also that would have shown the belt was fastened. What I am saying is"no need for a driver cam"...

PFG uses rear-facing cameras that record all the time. Disclaimer - this is hearsay. Another driver claims this happened to him.
There was a driver who covered it when he was about to go to bed, and got a phone call within 5 minutes asking why the camera was covered. He wasn't happy about that. -
