What kind of parking do you suppose I’ll find at 01:00 when my drive time runs out. Yep, none... trip planning my ###.
Time for bed, even though I’m not tired. Then I’ll get up at 03:15 and have to slap myself to stay awake just as the sun is coming up.

By the way, that was 37 total miles for the day.
Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
####ed up, man feel your pain. I could have drove until 11:00 pm before a rest, then got up at o6:00 and started over. But gov knows best.
Dave_in_AZ and lilillill Thank this. -
they can stick that elog stuff

You don't have to split sleeper birth it. Stand up and be a man and take a 10 or longer hour break and leave when you are refreshed and ready to go.
The 8 hour sleeper berth is stupid. Don't do it.austinmike and Dale thompson Thank this. -
The latest news was UPS has asked for exemptions and was granted them, and then motor authority says may as well grant this to all motor carriers.rabbiporkchop, Justrucking2 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I would drive until 0100 and then you'll be tired. Then do a 10 hour break. Night drivers do often leave their parking spots after midnight.

Why blame elogs? Elogs follow the same HOS regs that paper logs do. Why not blame the #### HOS regs, or say...."I'm pissed because I can't cheat my logs and get away with it anymore."
#1don, TequilaSunrise, freightwipper and 16 others Thank this. -
This is the real problem. Too many have their anger directed to the wrong issue. If they directed half their anger over eLogs to the HOS rules, maybe we could see some efforts materialize for change.DOGSLIFE, spyder7723, Trucker61016 and 4 others Thank this.

Not doubting you but help me understand how is this elogs fault? You only drove 37 miles wouldn't that be your dispatchers fault?peterd Thanks this.
