Elogs will work on anything, they are not the same as a ELD.
Some engines prior to 2000 can work with a ELD but not all. To simplify things the FMCSA just dosn’t require ELD’s on any truck with an engine older than 2000.

Did my fingerprints on Monday, drug test on Tuesday I've been pre approved for a truck but im trying to wait til i get the call saying im in. When do they tell u about the 2290, ein number & other stuff i might need to be taking care of??? Or maybe i should ask what else should i be taking care of right now????
-
Ask your contact all those questions. Work closely with them. They are straight shooters and they know all the latest policies.

The EIN is about the only thing you can do at this point. I would go ahead and apply for it. You will need it to file your 2290, which you cannot do until you purchase the truck. Other than that, just as Hegemeister says, stay in contact with whoever is processing your app...
EIN number

Lost your drug test???????
How'd that happen. Lol -
I called my processor & he said that the results wasn't back yet. It had already been 5 days so i called the lab & they couldnt find it under my name, birthday, or social so i called the place that collected the sample. They said they needed the control number from the paper they gave me which was in my car in California but i was under a load in Oklahoma. Got a load heading home but once i got home they called me & said they found it

I spoke to a recruiter earlier this month, and she told me they are averaging $1.73 per loaded mile ---NET.
Now, I'm guessing that is before my truck payment and maintenance fund, because they don't have anything to do with that and would not deduct that from my settlements. But if fuel, insurance, IFTA, and all the other little fees come out and $1.73 is what's left, then it sounds like the average gross is well above $2.
I'm currently leasing at prime. I'm wondering… Can I take my truck over there to Landstar? My contract with Prime lays out conditions for me leasing onto another carrier, so I'm pretty sure Prime will allow it.
