Hi guys, I'm thinking of selling my truck, trailer, and client list to a friend of mind and I'm not sure how to go about valuing everything especially the list, has anyone done this before and do you have any tips for me?
Thanks guys

Equipment value would be wholesale, client list is harder. Would the buyer acquire existing contracts? Would the existing customers even be willing to work with the new owner?

A multiple of your annual revenues should establish a value like any other company.
Maintaining those relationships after the sale is mostly his problem so long as you don't torpedo him behind his back. -
As acajoe said, it is a multiple of your annual revenue that you base it on.
The hard assets are part of that price, the customer list ... that's the bulk of the price. -
Curious, what multiple’s do trucking companies typically sell at. I’d expect to see a rentention clause with an offset for customers not retained, along with a fairly heavy restraint of trade (which are notoriously hard to enforce unfortunately) if it were a business I was looking to purchase.
