If your on a Qualcomm ELD that’s has the lastest updates when you stop for your mandatory 30 min break you must be motionless for 30 min not moving because if you move a wheel it restarts your clock again it will show you had your break but 100 yards down the road it will go back to what you had when you started your break and you have to do the 30 min over again

Park in a spot, get out, and take a 5 or 10 minute walk. Just my 2 cents.
Most days It'll be taken at a customer for me, but rest areas are great for a 30 if you don't need much. -
Honestly, given the very poor backing skills of many out here, I'd rather them circle around the fuel pumps for half an hour than attempt to back in next to me.
If you think anyone and everyone should back into a spot, even just to get a scale ticket, then it would be a good idea if you put a sign on your truck that states "I don't mind being used for target practice" or something to that effect.Broke Down 69, bigguns, jethro712 and 1 other person Thank this. -
You need to play around with it to learn how to stop it from doing that. Our Omnitracs will do that too - but only if the driver is not "proactive". ..... Or you're working at a piss poor outfit who has them locked down to the point of being stupid given realities.

I believe that is the "ELD" mode. As soon as the tire moves, it changes status to Drive line. The old "AOBRD" mode would let the driver go about 1.5 miles before changing to Drive mode.

But how can these kids get better at backing if they never do it? I know, it’s a catch-22 isn’t it?Broke Down 69, Trucker61016, scottied67 and 1 other person Thank this.

8m of the same mindset. I don't want to take a spot that someone rolling with only minutes to spare could have.
Especially since I'm a night driver and my thirties are at a time when parking is at a premium.
So I always just pull of to the side an eat my sandwich. -
Awwwwww.....someone should have told me we could go backwards......is that the "R" spot on the autoshift?
