That's great. With all the wireless and Bluetooth technology it ought to be possible to make a foolproof warning system.

    SAR and johndeere4020 Thank this.

Where the guy was parked along the curb made a narrow passageway through there. Where I parked along the curb there were 42 acres of wide open space next to me not narrowing down anyone's access. That guy was parked for 10 hours I was parked for 3 minutes. Chess, not checkers lol.

I wasn't in their way or being a nuisance. I could telll they were wrapping up the job, meaning the job was basically done and they were in wind down mode. I worked heavy construction for 19 years I know where to stand to be out of the way and not be in someone's space. Plus it was not a PPE job, if it had been I would have definitely stayed back in the grassy area. Given that it was not a hardhat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, reflective vest required jobsite, I felt there was not harm in walking up a little closer to film the action. Plus it was taking place on a public street with full public access.

In my 19 years of heavy construction, many many times we had curious public pedestrians walking up on the jobs, of course we kicked them out to the perimeter for their own safety because it was a PPE union job but also many many times we had curious public walking up with cameras filming us working including news outlets doing location broadcasts of our work. I recall one night a TV news journalist and the camera guy filming me for the nightly news as I conducted the pre-work safety meeting with my crew.

I did that have a red marker light on side of neck hooked up to a brake switch from a ford pickup. It lights up when down.

First, and probably last, wind farm load. Way too much unpaid sitting around for me. Loading Monday and delivering a 1000 miles away on Thursday is a waste of time. On top of that it rained today so the site was shut down and they are a day behind.
    42k pound hub.
Oh well back to my normal wing hauling gig next week. They want their wings yesterday so they always unload early.

I was out doing some local work and saw the following.... the way he has the arm loaded makes the machine unnecessarily tall, don't ya think? The second picture is just for reference to show how far above 13'6" it is. IMG_0672.jpg IMG_0674.jpg
