American owned registered and insured,
No - as far as I understand. US based business - nationality of team driver is irrelevant.
Canadian lives matter.RedRover, brian991219, Lepton1 and 2 others Thank this. -

blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
This is not correct. There are two parts to cabotage; there is the business (the carrier) and the person (the driver). In order for it to be a legal move both elements have to be legal and unless the Canadian driver has a valid visa, they won't be legal.Oxbow, brian991219, Farmerbob1 and 4 others Thank this.

One reason I love this forum.
Opportunity to learn something new, even if not applicable to me at the time. This is one I never even heard of before.
But, you never know what you find & learn here. Things that just may come in handy at some point down the line.
frizzbees, Oxbow, rolls canardly and 2 others Thank this. -

I love Canadian bacon!!!

Yes. Assuming the carrier is legal to operate in both countries then making international moves is acceptable. Just the same as thousands of cross-border trucks do every day.Oxbow, blairandgretchen and MrEd Thank this.
