Wouldn’t get me to work like that. I’d laugh in somebody’s face.
“Giving back to the company” my ###.
Like @Bob Dobalina said, they cut your throat in a second if you get injured off the clock.Gearjammin' Penguin, jungledrums, LoneCowboy and 2 others Thank this. -
I’m sitting at a restaurant with my wife right now and reading your posts to her. She got a kick out of this one.
That makes at least two of us now that agree with @street beater.road_runner and street beater Thank this. -
Time to run not walk away from them. My brother who works for USF Holland, is finally starting to listen to me.
He has an interview set up with OD next week. Hope it gets better. -
Well here’s my rant! Even being retired on my own mind from LTL, the condition some of the trucks are in. But I guess it’s job security as I’m the one picking them up as we got contracts with them!
road_runner Thanks this. -
I'm driving on a 4-lane state route, behind me looks like a complete Yellow set, cab and trailer. It pulls alongside and I see that only the hood is Yellow's orange, the cab behind it is the deeper orange and blue of Roadway. Somewhere there's a busted Roadway hood and a Yellow tractor without one.
Maybe open a used Volvo daycab parts business as well. -
Well, it’s about time you reappeared.
road_runner Thanks this. -

I really wish some of our non-drivers would learn how to pull a trailer.
Thursday when the snowstorm hit I wound up doing someone else’s run, and some wuss used my trailer and slid the axles all the way up.
Thankfully the ground was dry enough by Friday morning so I could fix that problem. That would’ve been just what I need to deal with while trying to drive around a town still digging out from under a foot of snow.
