Weather bug shows it’s supposed to warm up a little by Thursday or Friday take another week off enjoy the time with your family

 

If you leave the bolt out you will develop and exhaust leak very soon at that spot. Then all the work that you have done will be for nothing. Is it a 3/8 or 7/16 bolt? Can you take the helicoil out and re tap the hole for the next size. You would probably have to drill the manifold out also. Just a suggestion.

 

This reminds me why I hate trucks and love women

 

Yeah just annoys me all that working thinking YAY its finally done.. The tool i bought did its job 100%.. But when u have a drilled out hole for a helicoil and don't know about it just makes things differnt. Gotta pull the manifold back off tap the new helicoil in and bolt it back up. Took me 10 mins to bolt up the manifold and put EGR #### back on

Passed a guy on i94 with one frozen trailer brake. Tried to get him on the radio but no response. Pulled up next to him and got his attention. He just nodded and kept going. Could see in the mirror that every vehicle passing was trying to tell him something was wrong but he didnt stop. No tellin how far he made it.

 

OK! So i put a helicoil in it. Torqued to 44LBS and its holding!
