I glanced at a TV Fri morning and saw a WE on its side some where up north in all that snow. Why the driver wasn't shut down is beyond me.

But it's known industry wide that WE is a garbage outfit. They bought out Jmar. Then borrowed money from knight to purchase SMX. They have gotten bigger but a driver means absolutely nothing to these ppl.

 

What are their trucks like? I was told by a recruiter they just got a batch of 2018 trucks in.

 

I worked for them 8 years ago. I was on the flatbed side. They have a lot of freight. Miles, miles, miles, and more miles. I never sat except once in South Dakota when I got empty late. You can make money, bit you'll never see the house

They're really nice. The sort of truck that lets you know THE COMPANY is making lots of money.

 

I can't decide between SNI or Western.

 

Schneider isn't great, but they're good as a starter company, and they're fair. At least when I was there. We're talking some years here, though.

 

Cool, well I like the sound of doing just the one week OTR with the TE. Hoping I get an automatic truck but they said they couldn't promise anything which is why I looked at Western as well but I've seen so many negative reviews on Western I don't think I'd want to sign their refresher contract. At least SNI's contract is for 90 days instead of a year at Western.
