The farings were quite damaged, I messed up, no sense in lying about it. Anyway, I thank you all for the responses and list from Chinatown.

If it is just the fairings and not into the sleeper body, that is a quick, cheap fix. Good luck finding a new gig. Tell the perspective employer and don't try to hide the facts.

IDK, that's a pretty big mistake, by today's standards. Years ago, the boss would look at the incident, and if not much happened, I doubt you would have got fired. I wrecked a truck my 1st month, wasn't my fault, but still, the boss took me aside, and said, "well, this makes you an experienced truck driver, now you know what can happen", put me in a different truck and he was right, for the next 34 years and 11 months, I never had another incident again. Best of luck, you may have to stay away from the megas, they only go by what's on your record.

Companies have ways of finding out, whether it be from another driver with scabbed knees and a dirty nose, all the stupid nanny crap on trucks now- on guard, cameras and such.

I have personally had the stupid on guard CMS system lock up the brakes for no good reason, clear road in front of me! Of course they say it won't, but I have dashcam footage to prove it.

Maybe this is what happened to you.....
Stupid safety crap actually caused the accident.

We are told we are professional drivers, should we not be trusted to actually drive the truck? Not some computer based BS

I know you'll do fine, the reason I know is you stepped up like a man, you owned the accident and you didn't bad-mouth your company. Sadly, that's so rare these days.

Fill out those apps and you'll be back on the road to recovery.

Sorry to hear, sucks they will let you go over that, specially considering the roads have been really bad and it can be easy to make that mistake.

Look for locals. Stay away from megas and dac. Your dac will be ruined. But there's more companies that don't care or use dac then do.

I personally won't work for dac companies.
