That's hilarious but I would like to see the follow up picture of the truck that pulls in behind and sits there for half an hour cussing because he ain't pulling up.

 

You'll note that he had the "tail" retracted. This is the setting used on movements where supersonic speeds are not required, so it stands to reason that the added drag component of this particular configuration would not have been a make/break factor for that particular movement.

I would too. I want to read the transcripts of all THREE stories ...

1. The driver's initial-discovery "WTF accounting"
2. The driver's later "CYA story version"
3. And the reality version, to include the back-story of why there are no wheels on two axles.

He/She is a truck driver, and as such completed truck driver training or academy or whatever the hell they call it. In week 1, they learn how to alter facts to suit another agenda so we know there's a more interesting version of the tale forth-coming.

If that happened to me, I'd have called a cab and headed to the airport or bus station.
