If the rates have gone up due to the E-Log mandate, maybe it has had less of an effect on freight that typically only gets worked from 8am-4pm.

Remember my words, starting in May flats will be grossing 10k per week, reefers also 10k and vans will be 8k, if you work in Midwest-Northeast-Southeast

    Twenty?

    Try five.

We need a good rate increase but we won't get it until capacity is way down, so try to discourage the midnight wonders who run out and buy a truck just to cash in on the $2 per mile rates.

I am doing pretty good now. YTD my flatbed is averaging $2.26/mi to the truck. My driver is happy, that gives him $.565 per mile.

I can't promise all the Joes will get that rates ;), but if you have experience with reefers and not afraid of all the BS that comes with it, then why not
For the last month you should have been averaging at least $7-7.5k with dry van out of Chicago, just doing two round-trips to Northeast and back. Have you been doing that?

Pull the stacks: stretch your trailer & put it on the exposed rails to drop the wheels off the sides like a beam trailer.
