they have pneumatic, however their yard is starting to be covered in brand new sandbox trailers - without the pods for now.

@Haystak88 or @bobthesailor any updates on Vista ? .... How they treating you ? Is the meal deal any good ? Do they have the meals at most of the yards ? Is it optional or is it a deduction whether you eat there or not ? Thanks.

There are several threads about them already. Look under Maalt.

My advice? Run. Run as far and as fast as you can.

Ok, ive been out here about a month now. First week was great, I grossed $2,600. Second week was good, third week sucked. Now, there were reasons for the decline in pay and possibly could have been avoided. That third week was the worst so far and I still took home $1,100 after taxes. To me, that sucks for having to be out here. I ended up being assigned to the Monahans yard. At this yard there is no meal plan, we get per diem. That is $280 a week and they tax you on it, which is weird. Anyway, they do pay hourly now and it’s $25 with overtime over 40. Weekly pay. They also just switched to a 5/2 schedule, so you have the same two days off every week. The issue has been trucks. Currently, there are around eight trucks down for whatever reason. So, every shift change you have guys standing around up to two hours waiting for a truck to come in. To me, that sucks. Yes, we are being paid to stand there, but it still sucks. There are a handful of trucks with the a/c not working and it’s getting hot out here. A lot of the trucks have a cb that doesn’t work either, which you need as a frac sand driver to get loaded at the mine especially. I just don’t understand how they can let these small issues continue. The housing is ok as mentioned previously, you get your own fema trailer. Direct tv and WiFi included. Maid service once a week as well, which is nice. All toiletries also, so you can basically show up with your clothes and that’s all you need. I’m letting the little things discourage me, but overall I would recommend it. Maxing our your 60 hours for the five days, plus the per diem puts you at $2,030 a week. They also have been letting guys work one of their days off. They do need to change everyone to a 70 hour clock, but have not done it yet. Their reasoning makes no sense. Also electronic logs are done with either a tablet or handheld device. We are short drivers, so if you wanna come out, apply. Then call and hound them. Hope all this helps.

Haystak88, thanks for the update. Sounds like a good deal for the most part. I have a couple of questions if you don' mind answering them.
    1. I was on a doctor prescibed diet drug that was not approved by the dot. I took time off while talking the medication so my cdl licese would not be in jeopardy. I'm beyond 30 days of being off the medication and can pass a urine test, but I worry about a hair follicle est. Does vista do the urine and hair follicle or just urine? Maybe I could show my script if they do the hair. I just don't want to mess my cdls up in anyway.
    2. Do they allow you to keep a personal vehicle on the living grounds?

Thanks for the feedback and good luck!
