I think mine was caused by a squared off rear tire. Lots of things can cause one.

Holy ****!!! I think even Evel Knievel (if he was still alive) would say this guy is one lucky SOB!! Definitely one of those “go to Sunday church service” moments!!

Hit some water once. Rear slide but it bit and jerked me. Then the bars did there own thing while I just did my best to just to not lose grip. Eventually it calmed back down. I had to take a breather after that episode.
But if he said it happened going into 2nd the wheel might have come up enough to land awkward. Happens all the time on any bike with good torque and maybe a sloppy shift. Especially if someone is actively steering at the time. Even an inch up, the wheel comes down at a bad angle, it bites and starts jerkin.
My ZX10 will do it without trying. And with traction control off it'll do a rolling burn out. out. Gotta be smooth with 200+hp underneath. Thers a reason all modern superbikes come with steering dampners.Last edited: Mar 5, 2018

Here's another idiot motorcycle driver that survives his own idiocy and almost kills another
-------------
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Disturbing dashcam video of a ball of light crashing into the side of a truck pulling an RV has been released.
The wreck happened Saturday night on I-240 and I-55 in Memphis, Tenn. It left one man, the owner of the motorcycle in critical condition.
This family who was in the RV were on Spring Break and headed to Alabama for vacation. Those plans were quickly dashed by what witnesses said was a reckless motorcycle rider weaving through traffic at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
-------------
Lots of dollar loss but motorcycle rider had no insurance and the family may not recover a dime ....
