Stay away from CAL Transport in British Columbia. Poor equipment and they "burned me" for 10K!

    This guy went out of business and lost a contract in a news flash. Equipment barely legal and fifth wheel came off the truck even though owner warned in advance. Left me high and dry and out my wages. I figure I lost thousands even though I drove my butt off. Sent me 1K and said sorry. Labour board won't help. 2018

    Probably. It seems to be a recurring theme on here that somebody warns their boss about a dangerous situation and still continues to drive the truck.
    Somebody needs to grow some balls and refuse to drive unsafe junk.

    But then I'd lose my crapy job with unsafe equipment. Were am I going to find another crapy job with unsafe equipment?

    Owner was hoping you'd get DOT . Shut down . You would pay the ticket and 'Repairs'. Then you would be canned in a heart beat . Smile to your face while knifing you same time in the back . You acted like a fool .Got treated like one . Now before you flame off think of that for 48 hr's . Not personnel , it's business .!!

    Ya, i too learned the hard .They don't care bout your bills etc . They own you say ' 1680.00' , they give you 900 out of the goodness of there heart . Their heart owns you $780 huh ? BTW Frank .     I agree, the truck should have been parked But I don't know if "acted like a fool" was the right words, maybe stupid was better.
