This is true. However in this narrow case an attorney has to prove a law/rule was broken. This crap came up a while back. I wish I had went on ahead and got a guidance letter then. Looks as if I need to do it now.

We had this discussion in the past and I showed you an actual driver's failed inspection form where he was showing Off Duty but admitted to the inspecting officer he spent time in the Sleeper and was cited for Log Falsification. You and I went round and round on this and I finally put together an instructional video about properly logging Sleeper and Off Duty on my bully pulpit channel.

I know how you love to be right and you love to have the last word, so go right ahead despite the facts you have been shown.....

Oh, you shouldn’t dump those pee bottles out. Use them to wash your hair in the morning.

I have never logged any sleeper time for a 34 hr reset. Whether I was in it or not. Where I spent my time is no ones business but my own.

Be careful. You should know that attorneys and DOT cops are hiding behind trees with binoculars recording your potty breaks.

Those things don't work as well once you relieve your bladder on them.

I also have spent a reset in the sleeper berth sick with the flu. Dot asked me about it I explained the situation and they could have cared less once I told them I was sleeping it off until I could drive safely.
    Hope you feel better

Nope that is why we keep a toilet in ours. Disposing of the human waste as necessary. Long stretches of off duty for sick etc get a hotel room.

Ive been sick a number of times on the road and the strongest instinct is working towards ancestral home. Dispatch will see it and they will see the miles each day drop to zero as you get too sick to run anymore. Then wait for the hospital call or soemthing else to break. Usually about the 4th or 5th day for fever in my case.

Due to satellite, and family involvement the company shows patience and waits until I get better to keep going. The appointments are usually either repowered or are low enough priority to be reschedulded a week or whatever.

I once lost two days in Darien. No net, cell or satellite in those days. I was not getting any better, the dispatcher/owner had 12 state polices hunting my rig which was visible from the interstate easily. I made it home that third night and was in surgery to remove the appendix the following morning. Doc says stay home 6 week. I was back to moving lumping loads as usual in 3.

Last time spouse took a fever was in plainview Texas I believe it's probably a meat plant down there. We needed 4 days to wait for it to break enough for her to get better. It was fortunate it took that long to get trailer loaded anyway. So once loaded on the 4th day I had it moving as a solo while the spouse rested back there.
