It’s good to hear that no one was hurt too bad. That’s scary stuff.

Good, glad they both made it. And good on you for helping out the way you did, driver.

X2 for sure. They’re lucky they are ok, and lucky they had a guy like you helping them. You have some really good karma coming your way man.

Seeing something like that up close really makes a person think about things. We’ve all fallen victim to complacency at some time or another. Whether it’s reaching for that water bottle or messing with something in the passenger seat, etc.. After so many miles we get a little too comfortable and then the worst happens. I’ve definitely been more attentive ever since I left that scene today.
I’ll tell you another thing too, after crawling down into that cab and seeing the way everything had scattered and fallen everywhere, I won’t be carrying my dumbbells in the passenger floorboard anymore.

Got done in Bakersfield, washed in Tulare and loading in Fresno tomorrow. Says it goes to Canada but since I don’t have a passport they said just take it to the Midwest and they would repower it.

I’m here at City of Industry with 9 other IRT. I’m preplanned to go to Tulare to wash and I’m picking up at Delano, heading to Joplin, MO.

Some of them are probably empty just finishing out their break. Delano is a good load and has room to park. Joplin has always been a fast unload the 3-4 times I’ve done it.

I snuck in before rush hour here. Going to squeeze my 10 hr break here as well before heading up to the wash. I load in the am. Probably working my way closer to Florida. I have scheduled home time next weekend.

    Tanker_82 Thanks this.

They had me do a short hop out here last Summer from Bakersfield to Santa Ana. It was an ASAP type deal and the way it timed out I hit LA at evening rush. I remember spending 2 hours and only covering like 3 miles. Had I been a Cali based IRT I probably would’ve known a better route to the place. Ever since then, if I can’t slip in before rush I sit at the Petro a few hours out by the Grapevine and let it thin out.
My load goes to Kitchener, Ontario. I was home last week from Saturday till Wednesday night so I’m good for another few weeks.
