A good pay? 75 CPM. Yesterday I averaged $1.00 per mile but I only drove 250 miles.

What kind of driver do you want to hire?
What kind of pay would have been enough that you wouldn't have become an o/o?
I sort of think you already know the answer to your question and mine.

Depends on what is required for that 1200 a week. That is about 3.5 days work for me. Maybe 3 if everything goes according to plan. So yeah for a part time driver that would only need another 20% on top of it to cover me paying my own taxes, be a Monday through Wednesday (maybe half a day on Thursday) 6% 401k match, 5 paid weeks off a year and you would be close.

    1099?
Is your new driver allowed to pick which loads he wants and when he wants them?

1099, I dispatch the loads myself....so I will give the driver say most times, where he wants to go. But the truck has to move at the end of the day....to make profit
