Do you know how much it was? Does she say it's simple to use, or is it more complex than they make it look on TV?

I love my Soclean. Having said that, you still need to clean the hose, etc every once in a while.

The supplier I been getting my supplies at has a in-home service where they do cleanings and adjustments for patients. Was talking to a tech a few months back and the soclean thing came up and he laughed. He said that's an oxgyinator and it would be used for those who have respiratory issues or issues with immune deficiencies but he said what they do is use dish washing soap like dawn and wash the customers units with it every month, he said that this is still the best and most effective way to clean the head gear, humidifier chamber and tubing. He stressed to rinse it really well with first tap water than distilled water.

I think around $200 sounds right if I remember correctly. It was easy to setup and use. She has resmed 10 I think? I am looking into purchasing one online myself. Dont really want to do all the sleep study nonsense as I have pretty much come to the conclusion I have all the symptoms of sleep apnea. She hated hers at first but feels much better after using it.

Whew. Still seems like a bit to me, especially since you still have to clean part of it yourself sometimes.
Maybe my parents raised me a little too thrifty, but if I shell over that much for something like that, it should be able to clean the whole thing. Again, just my opinion.

    Puppage and buddyd157 Thank this.

I have a ResMed 10 and use distilled water in mine. The hose is replaced every 3 months, full mask and water tank every 6 months, and the filters every month. I do clean the mask nightly, mostly because if I don't I get air leaks due to the skin oil, I sweat out a lot of oil, so much I have to wipe my face at least twice a day to keep the pores open. I use an Esilon 2 mask, and I replace the nose piece every 30 days, it just snaps off, and I snap a new one on. I am not sure what any of it costs, my insurer foots the bill and there is no copay.

I know that there are some that have a legit need for this stuff. I wasn't one of them. I lost the weight. From what I've researched during my time it seems that like 80% are just fat dudes. Get healthy, live longer.
