Hi all, I've been away for a while. The missus is tired of me not ever being home, so I need to find a new job that will get me home to Denver every week or two for a day or two. I've been flatbedding again since last July, but I want to go back to pulling a tanker. I only have three months experience pulling food grade, all my other experience is flatbed.
Not looking for local, btw. There are a couple of local jobs on Craigslist hauling gasoline and oil, but driving a tanker (or any other truck) around Denver metro every day is not my idea of fun. I'm thinking more of a dedicated or regional gig. Main concerns are decent pay, affordable health insurance for me and the wife, home every week or two.
I have been talking to Quality Carriers since a friend of mine drove for them for a while and liked them. They may have a run that will get me to Denver regularly out of their East St. Louis terminal, waiting to hear more from them.
Does anyone here know of other tanker companies I should look at that will get me to or through Denver regularly? Any knowledge of QC out of the East St. Louis terminal or North Salt Lake terminal? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I just started with QC and love it, currently I’m in Chicago training still, I’m sure if you signed on they would have something going out your way I have been talking to operations and they jamming with freight. There’s just not enough drivers to keep up but I would strongly suggest talking with them. What’s the harm? I think if your safe and do a good job you can make a pretty decent wage here and even be able to retire. But then again it goes by terminal some are good some are not so good. I can tell this terminal here is extremely driver focused and are willing to do anything for the driver. Best of luck if you have questions I can try my best to answer them as I am still in training and still learning myself.

Thanks for the info. My friend really liked working for them too, ran soap from New Jersey to Ohio.
I'm not finding many tanker jobs for Denver that aren't home daily. I guess there isn't that much product moving around there. -
Hmmm...yeah I’m not sure I know they have a ton of terminals and affiliates. But like your friend said there’s so much going all over the place. Really not sure why not Denver. Maybe try, coal city cobb, or Kennan (KAG). Hopefully something will work out for you

Disttech goes out for a week at a time. That’s all I can think of. No Hazmat required either.

Crap got to thinking now. You got Trimac, Groendyke, W.W. Transport, and D.G. Coleman. Apex does do frac sand and goes where the work is. Air Liquide hires regional.
Adrienna Brown, Bud A. and speedyk Thank this. -
W.W. Transport in Denver; try this company.

It’s not a tanker job but I suggest you take a look at a company called Acme Distribution in Aurora. Good union job with amazing benefits

@WesternPlains - WP, this fella lives in your home away from home. Suggestions?

Denver shouldn’t be my home away from home. But it is. Not enough work to keep me out on the road. I can’t continue like this. Something must change.
It might work out for me at WW. So far, nothing I’ve been promised, has.
