Hopefully it didn't do any harm to the injectors. I did that to an old 11.1 Detroit, within 6 months I had to be towed to a shop and get all 6 injectors replaced. 2 were leaking like sprinklers under the valve cover. Ended up filling the crankcase full of diesel, but, it had a lot of hard miles on it before I bought it.

Is there a fuel line that runs in that area that could be cracked and spraying fuel on to the block?
