How about a camera looking out the windshield and the driver could close the curtains and legally log off duty while driving and looking at a monitor screen/ never run out of legal hours.

On second thought it seems the back up camera is useful for a tow hitch.
But not a tractor backing to a trailer that is 48 or 53 foot long.

    06driver and 48Packard Thank this.

You wait. It’ll be only a matter of time before you see a warning sticker on the side of a mega trailer. “Duck Head Before Checking Kingpin”

They pick up at a lot of paper mills where hard hats are required. And be honest....who wants to wear a loaner given the hygienic habits of some drivers? That’s one reason I have my own.

Technology might can aid common sense but should not be the crutches for replacing common sense... here’s another crutchy crutch

In my mind a contraption like this MIGHT be somewhat useful if you’re hooking up from the side, which is a dangerous practice anyway.
