What happened with the retirement?
-
Money that was put aside for training and other related expenses got pushed into service for some expensive and very unexpected repairs to our rental house we are selling. I’ll likely try again...just one of those things. But I will say a few months away has been a nice break.
I guess that’s life!
Dna Mach, MagnumaMoose and tucker Thank this. -
Good luck at Poly, I’ve always kept an eye on them in case I ever go back OTR. Occasionally I see Poly trucks getting loaded with sand where I load at.
And I had 3 weeks off last year between jobs. That was a nice break. -

If you have a spare car available, drive it to GP...it's nice to have an alternate form of transportation when you get stuck at the plant, don't have a bobtail pass, and after hours won't answer the dang phone -
New truck stop in Baytown on Highway 146 about 4 miles south of I-10 on the left hand side at TX 1405.
From 146, turn left on 1405. Room for about 40 trucks, $10 showers. -
@48Packard how are things working out for you?
28 Thanks this. -
Looking for a professional or a very experienced RV driver for 1 week.
This is not me, or anyone I know, but if there is anybody stuck out west for a few days waiting for a load....well, you know. -
How much is family insurance
-
For a family of 5 it runs me around $160 a week. No deductible. Still bring home 1000-1500 a week depending on miles for the week.MagnumaMoose Thanks this.
