You took the words right out of my mouth..

What? You think that getting four hundred dollar hair cuts doesn't resonate with the people?
-
Possibly the number one problem with RK shocks - was KR’s involvement. A lot of people get their hackles up when he’s mentioned.
Agreed. At an average of $60/shock times 6, every 6 months, after 3 years you’re about even on the $2100, rebuild them and go on. I like the ride. And so far haven’t had a leak issue.RubyEagle, spyder7723, rollin coal and 1 other person Thank this. -
Interesting to note here that a company representative reached out on the forum and was all but ignored.
They’ve always answered the phone when I’ve called.
We are an interesting bunch of consumers.spyder7723, Lepton1 and redoctober83 Thank this. -
Just goes to show that in our society. We sometimes tend to lean towards the skeptical naysayers who think it funny to tell false tells about products, or such to get make themselves feel better. We have all probably feel for improper advertising, scams, or other forms of being gotten by a company, or person. It is like warning labels on just about everything we purchase in our lives. If some idiot did not do something stupid, we would not need warning labels. Also, we would not see all the news stories about scams and people falling for such, if people were not nieve, or gullible to fall for such B.S.Lepton1 and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I resemble that remark!Bean Jr. and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I used King shocks on my desert off road cars in the past. They are quality coustom shocks designed for abusive off road situations. They are expensive even in the off road world but there isn’t any Monroe shocks that will pull the duty cycle a 3” king shock will.
Now I have the yellow cheapies on my truck. The rears are 2 years old and the fronts are 1 year old. None leak and I pulled the lower bolts out of the rears a month ago and they are still operational. If I had a truck that didn’t run on salt roads all winter I may give them a shot but I don’t think they can handle the corrosion? Those silver streaks or what ever they are called might give a go next time around though?RubyEagle, blairandgretchen and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
I don't change mine every 6 months. I change them on the drives when I put tires on. With me that's several years and usually only one is completely shot.Mattflat362, Tug Toy, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this.

Can't anything be an easy decision with this ###### job? I just want to not have my insides jumbled up like a smoothie when I drive through Indianapolis. Monroe, Gabriel, RK, or SilverRoad?
Mattflat362 and Justrucking2 Thank this.
